Pray From Your Position In Christ

You cannot pray effectively from a false platform of identity. Nothing will deplete your faith and inhibit answers to prayer faster than not having a working knowledge of who you are in Christ. When you received Jesus Christ into your heart everything concerning your identity changed. Now it is your responsibility to spend the rest of your life renewing your mind to the realities of the new identification that you have received.
You should no longer identify with who you were or what you did before Jesus came into your life. because you have been born again (John 3:5-6). This is what it means to be born again; you have been given a new beginning. When God looks at you, he doesn’t look at you through the eyes of your past. He looks at you through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. And the blood of Jesus speaks the eternal remission of your sins.
God does not remember any sin that you committed. He sees the righteousness of Jesus Christ He’s able to look at you as if you’d never sinned. But if you are not conscious of the fact that you are forgiven, it will keep you out of the presence of God. When you pray, you must pray from the new identity that you received when you were born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;
behold all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
